01

Choosing the right cruise

Start with the atmosphere and people in your group.

Which Rocky Point cruise is best for families?+

Perla Negra offers the most complete family evening with dinner, pirate entertainment, games, dancing, and sunset fireworks. Voyager and Ocean Pachanga also provide clear child pricing, while Sea Señor has a dedicated children’s package.

Which cruise is best for couples or an anniversary?+

Sea Señor is the strongest premium option because guests can choose open-bar, premium-spirit, or wine packages. Couples who prefer a more upbeat atmosphere may enjoy Ocean Pachanga.

Which boat is best for a party group?+

Barco Aventurero is the most music-forward party option, with Tecno Banda, dancing, included drinks, and optional specialty upgrades. Ocean Pachanga is another good choice for groups that want food, music, and room to move.

Which cruise offers the best value?+

Voyager starts at $20 for adults and teenagers and $15 for children, with drinks, snacks, and live Tecno Banda included. Compare the atmosphere as well as the price before deciding.

Which cruise lets guests swim?+

Ocean Pachanga Splash is the daytime option with an approximately 40-minute open-water swim stop. The other featured experiences focus on sunset, food, drinks, music, or entertainment.

02

Prices, food, and drinks

Every boat has different inclusions and age categories.

How much do Rocky Point sunset cruises cost?+

Adult prices currently start around $20 USD for Voyager, $25 USD for Ocean Pachanga and Barco Aventurero, and $35 USD for Sea Señor. Perla Negra adult packages are 700 MXN. Confirm current prices before payment.

Are food and drinks included?+

Most featured cruises include beverages plus a snack or meal. Ocean Pachanga includes fresh ceviche or a sandwich; Voyager includes nachos for adults and teens; Sea Señor packages include chips and salsa with food upgrades; Perla Negra includes dinner.

Are alcoholic drinks unlimited?+

The answer depends on the boat and package. Sea Señor’s Full Open Bar includes unlimited listed beverages, Ocean Pachanga advertises an open bar, and Perla Negra’s adult package includes unlimited beer and margaritas. Review the exact package before booking.

Do children receive food and drinks?+

Yes, but the meal differs by cruise. Voyager children receive a hot dog and soda or water; Perla Negra children receive pizza and soft drinks; Sea Señor’s children’s package includes nonalcoholic drinks, chips, and salsa.

Are tips and optional upgrades included?+

Crew tips and optional specialty beverages or food upgrades are generally separate from the standard ticket. Bringing cash can be useful.

03

Timing, check-in, and what to bring

Use the details in your current confirmation.

How long are the cruises?+

The featured sunset and boat cruises are generally about two hours. Ocean Pachanga Splash is also about two hours and includes the swim stop within that experience.

What time do sunset cruises depart?+

Departure times change throughout the year because boats plan around the actual sunset. Follow the time shown in your booking confirmation rather than an older website or social-media post.

How early should I arrive?+

Follow the check-in time in your confirmation and allow additional time for parking and finding the correct dock. Arriving late can mean missing the boat.

Where do I check in?+

Meeting points can vary by operator and boat. Your confirmation provides the current marina location, check-in instructions, and contact information.

What should I wear?+

Wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes with good grip. Bring a light layer when evenings are cool or windy, along with sunglasses and sun protection for the first part of the cruise.

What should I bring for Ocean Pachanga Splash?+

Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, secure footwear, and a waterproof pouch or protected place for your phone and valuables.

04

Weather and port closures

The Port Captain controls official marine operations.

Who decides whether boats can operate?+

The Puerto Peñasco Port Captain makes official port decisions. Weather forecasts are useful planning tools, but they do not replace the official port status or the operator’s safety decision.

What happens if the port closes?+

The operator follows the official closure and the weather, credit, cancellation, or rescheduling policy accepted during booking. Watch for direct instructions regarding your reservation.

Can a cruise be changed because of wind or sea conditions?+

Yes. Departure details, routes, entertainment, swim stops, and other operating elements can change when safety or sea conditions require it.

Are Perla Negra fireworks guaranteed?+

Fireworks are associated with sunset departures but can depend on weather, safety, port status, and operating conditions.

05

Reservations and special requirements

Review the final checkout details before payment.

Should I reserve in advance?+

Yes. Advance reservations are recommended for Fridays through Sundays, holidays, Spring Break, and busy travel periods. Popular boats and packages can sell out.

Where do I see current availability?+

Open the individual cruise page and select Check Dates. You will continue to Rocky Point Adventures to review currently available sailings and final reservation information.

Can I book a private cruise?+

Private options depend on the boat, group size, operating schedule, and date. Contact Rocky Point Adventures for current choices and pricing.

What is the Perla Negra same-day requirement?+

Perla Negra guests must complete wristband pickup and the remaining balance between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the cruise date. The reservation is not guaranteed after 2:00 p.m.

Where do I find the cancellation or credit policy?+

Review the policy displayed during checkout and in your confirmation. The accepted booking terms are the final policy for your specific reservation.
